Updates may be available for your version of Neurons in Action. To idenitify the version of NIA you are currently running, look at the version number on your CD (just below the center, on the left).

Windows Updates

Neurons in Action 2.0.2

This version needs only one update at this time:

  • Download update to the Introduction to Neurons in Action tutorial to include the current trace

Neurons in Action 2.0.1 and 2.0

Versions 2.0.1 and 2.0 need to have three patches applied:

  • Download update to the NEURON simulator to version 7.1
  • Download update to tutorial simulations to work with this version of NEURON
  • Download update to the NIA2 launcher to make it compatible with both the 64 and 32 bit versions of Windows 7 and Vista

After downloading the three files above, run each file individually. When asked if you would like to overwrite files select “Yes To All” on each.

Mac Updates

Neurons in Action 2.0.2 and earlier

These versions need one update:
